From the incense of Asia and Europe to the sage and cedar of the indigenous people cedar trees have been revered for spiritual significance for years. Its wood was used for the doors of scared temples and burned in cleansing ceremonies for purification. Originally, herbs and resin were placed in a special bowl and burned, or were burned over the smoldering coals of fire. In Native American Traditions it was used to carry prayers to the creator.
